Welcome to Inception at Sea, Shadowman

From March 13-17, Inception At Sea will embark on its 2nd [annual] excursion to the Bahamas from Miami. To change things up in 2017, Inception at Sea will last for 4 days and will be stopping at both CocoCay and Nassau, Bahamas. Last year, this cruise made its maiden voyage as the first of its kind - an all-inclusive, spring break festival/cruise offering an artist lineup perfectly geared toward spring breakers which included The Chainsmokers, Bassjackers, and Lil Dicky among many others. Party Naked and the Roster joined Inception at Sea on the high seas in 2016, and we're back it in 2017 as part of the talent lineup.

For DJ Shadowman, Inception at Sea will be his first cruise AND the first time he has performed out side of California. We caught up with Shadowman to see what get his take on IAS17.

"Right now I'm preparing my liver and weaning off sleep in anticipation of this trip, haha. There's going to be more than 2,000 people on the ship - plus some great artists like Dada Life & MakJ - so that's a little nerve wracking. But I'm lucky that I can ask both Kaos and Escobar [who were on IAS last year] what to expect and what the vibe was like. A lot of the DJ sets will be predominantly house music/EDM/progressive house, so I plan to play mostly Open Format sets. I'm working on really building a sound for 2017, so hopefully March and IAS will be a good jumping off point. I don’t want to play just a normal set, I want to play something specifically for Inception at Sea." - Shadowman

We asked Showman what he's most looking forward to: "I hope to network and meet artists I've seen from afar, as well as their management. I really want this experience to give me that hunger - to make music and take DJing to another level. I also know there are some pretty dope theme parties; I'm looking forward to a neon foam party myself, haha."
