ESCOBAR
Escobar is an electronic music DJ and Producer based out of Southern California. His musical tastes favor the experimental sounds found in heavy electronic music as well as the melodies of progressive dance music. A philosophy to "ride the margin" between experimentation and commercial sounds has allowed him to carve out a unique niche that can be heard throughout each of his releases, live sets and mixes. He’s a versatile performer, who enjoys playing all things "house", with no limits. This versatility has given him the opportunity to travel, perform and experience the many wavelengths that make up the dance music spectrum; from the high energy of international stadium crowds to the intimate connection created with the dance floor at Insomniac’s Groove Cruise on the open sea.
Escobar is set to release two new original tracks by year's end. The first release is a global, mainstream style collaboration project featuring a talented guest vocalist. The second release is a raw, noisy- high energy dance club track. Recent collaborations like the fiery "Guess Who's Back" and "The Underground" feature his blend of experimental electronic dance music sounds and aspects of heavy bass music, while re-mixes of infectious tracks "Anywhere You Go" by Nervo and Zedd's "Stay the Night" show how a different dimension can be added to melodic, radio friendly productions.
With residencies like Create Nightclub in Los Angeles, Sunburn Pool at the Hard Rock in San Diego, Miami Music Week at Hyde Beach and Seasonal Festival Cruises, Escobar is able to fulfill his love of travel and music year round. Past southwest performances include dates at Omnia SD, Parq Nightclub, Fluxx Nightclub, Intervention & Dive Pool Parties, Tao Beach, Marquee Dayclub, Life at SLS, Foxtail Pool & Nightclub in San Diego and Las Vegas. Off-season stops in music-loving cities like Chicago, New York and Boston fill out the remaining spots in the tour schedule.
